A basic strength training program will help now and later in life. Have you ever seen someone struggle trying to reach above their head or even pick up a screw gun?
Posture, hip strength, shoulder stability are just a few things that strength training can do.
Whether you call it strength or resistance training it doesn’t matter. It’s all the same. You can even be on the same program as someone who wants to “tone” or get huge. It all depends on when you stop training with high intensity.
Just stop (or go into a maintenance plan) when you get to your goal.
Just make sure you do it right the first time. Learning how to do it right after 6 weeks of Physiotherapy sucks. Hire a professional if you’re not sure.
Yes, it could be me, but as long as you’re getting fit and doing it safely, just get it done.
